16/03/22 – Face Coverings
The states of Guernsey have now “strongly recommended” that we wear a face covering in enclosed spaces. Therefore we are also encouraging the same to any customers who are entering our shop, office, or any of the sales pods. We thank you for respecting these measures.
28/01/2022 – Face Coverings
Due to the recent changes from the States of Guernsey, we are advising customers that precautions are no longer required however you are more than welcome to still wear a mask if you wish. We would like to once again thank all of our valued customers for their patience and support whilst we have worked with the pandemic over the last 2 years.
30/11/2021 – Mandatory Face Coverings
In line with yesterday’s statement from The States of Guernsey and for the safety of everyone’s general health, from tomorrow (01/12/21) all of our staff will be wearing a face covering when entering any indoor customer spaces. All customers will also be expected to wear a face covering unless exempt. Hand sanitiser is readily available throughout our site which we encourage everyone to use before entering any building.

27/10/2021 – We are Taking Precautions
Following the latest guidance provided by the States of Guernsey we will be taking extra measures in Norman Piette to help prevent the spread of Covid.
This will include the encouragement of wearing face masks and the placement of Perspex screens in indoor environments or when working closely with customers.
There will also be extra cleaning of work surfaces and card machines. Our transport service will not be impacted but we will continue to be careful in our approach.
Anyone experiencing Covid symptoms are asked to follow guidance from the States.

08/03/2021- We are Open
20/02/2021- Delivery Service Begins
From Monday 22nd February Norman Piette will be operating a delivery only service.
We apologise for the delay in getting this notice out to you but we have been working to try and gain as much information as possible from the States as to how we can operate within the guidelines, but as efficiently for our customers as we would like to.
Any orders placed during lockdown are being processed currently and a member of our team will be in touch soon to give you a confirmed delivery date.
If you have an order placed before lockdown please confirm you would like this delivered and we will organise this.
We do ask for patience during this time as we are only able to work with 15 staff members on site at any one time (normally 100), which is to include our delivery drivers and we also have a large backlog of orders to work through.
We have extended our working hours, introduced shift work and hired two extra delivery vehicles to be able to cope with the demand.
A controlled collection service for trade customers is also being planned and we hope to introduce this as soon as we are able to.

10/02/2021- Place an order
Please note we are currently seeking clarification from the SoG before we can announce the services we will be able to deliver to our customers.
We hope to have this information soon.

Following the lockdown announcement, Norman Piette are now closed. We will advise you further as and when the situation changes.

From Tuesday 26th May Norman Piette will be reverting back to (virtually) normal operating hours.
They are as follows:
Monday-Thursday 7.30am-5pm
Friday 7.30am-4pm
Saturday 8am-12pm

15/05/2020- Phase 3 Announcement
Following the implementation of Phase 3 by the States of Guernsey, Norman Piette will now be available to anyone wishing to purchase products from us. This can be done by visiting our site or by using our delivery service.
Our opening hours are as follows:
Monday-Friday 7.30am-12.30pm and 1.30pm-5pm and Saturday 8am-12pm
Please continue to be patient and understanding with our staff as we try to serve you as swiftly and efficiently as possible.

12/05/2020- Saturday Morning Opening
Norman Piette will now be opening on Saturday mornings from 8am – 12pm for TRADE customers only.
Our new opening hours will remain the same until Phase 3 has been announced by the States of Guernsey.
These are Monday-Friday 7.30am-12.30pm and 1.30pm-5pm and Saturday 8am-12pm.

Our current regular opening hours are 7.30am-12.30pm and 1.30pm-5pm Monday to Friday.

The Norman Piette site will be open under controlled condition collections from 7.30am on Monday 27th April.
The opening hours will be 7.30am-12.30pm and 1.30pm-5pm. Please note, we will be closing the site at 12.30pm to allow for a change of shift without exceeding the staff numbers on site.
Our full stock of building and decorating materials and tools will be available, provided it can be handled in compliance with social distancing rules.
We want to serve everyone as swiftly and efficiently as possible and to facilitate this, on arrival you will be required to follow the instructions of our parking marshals and those on the entrance doors of our department.
At this time, we would like to support those in the building trade that are able to go back to work and as the number of customers permitted in every area will be limited, we ask that you please try to help us by selecting your purchases quickly.
During this period, please note that we cannot take cash, only card or account payment will be accepted.
Our showroom will also be staffed with one member of staff for anyone wishing to enquire about kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms.
We trust that your understand that we are not yet able to operate at anywhere near our full capacity and ask that you please be patient with our staff and with other customers.
NB Whilst we will do all we can to accommodate every request, we may not be able to provide large or bulky items that cannot be loaded by one person or by a forklift. If you have any queries with regards to this type of order, please contact our sales team on 245801.
We are still operating a FREE delivery service for orders over £40.
Unfortunately, The Timber Mill and its services will remain closed during this period, although cut sheets (up to a limited amount) will still be available,
17/04/2020 – Minimum Order Introduced
Norman Piette decided to waive our delivery charge when we were able to open for deliveries as a way of fulfilling as many orders as possible and getting products out into the community and homes.
We have been delighted to hear the many stories about DIY projects and what customers have been able to get done during the lockdown.
Now, to streamline and speed up the process with our limited delivery department we will be introducing a minimum order value of £40. We will continue to offer a FREE of charge delivery service providing the order meets the £40 minimum value. Please note that if you have placed an order with us for less than £40 prior to this announcement, we will still deliver as promised and we hope you will understand the reasoning behind the decision.
09/04/2020 – Easter Weekend
Norman Piette will be closed over the Easter weekend but orders can still go through to sales@norman-piette.com and will be picked up by a member of the team from Tuesday.
Deliveries will continue on both Good Friday and Saturday to get as many orders out to customers as possible. Emergency products are still able to be supplied by both collection or delivery.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers for their patience and understanding at this difficult time.
We would also like to thank our fantastic team of staff who have been working extremely hard in tough circumstances, both remotely and on site. You guys are great!
07/04/2020 – 6pm
Following the revised guidance from the States of Guernsey, Norman Piette will commence a delivery service from the 8th April.
This will be carried out following strict regulations and health and safety protocol. Only items that are able to be delivered within the guidelines will be available.
Orders will be delivered to private homes only and not to any trade sites. All previously placed deliveries will be prioritised.
If you do place an order please bear with us as we are operating the service with a skeleton crew, which will result in longer delivery times than normal.
