Paul Rogers becomes CEO of NP Group

Paul Rogers is the new CEO of the NP Group, replacing Tony Gallienne who retired at the end of 2016. Mr Rogers is also Managing Director of Norman Piette and will now oversee all 6 companies within the Group.
‘I have really enjoyed my time as Norman Piette’s Managing Director and that role will continue,’ he says. ‘I am also very excited to be involved in all the other businesses within the Group and will offer support to them in any way I can.
Paul moved to the island from the UK in 2011 to lead the development and expansion of the company’s Bulwer Avenue site. He has over 35 years’ experience working for two UK family-owned builders’ merchants. He was a Director of one of them for 21 years, responsible for 18 branches and two DIY stores, so brings a wealth of experience which he says he has enjoyed adapting to the construction market in Guernsey.
The personal lifestyle change has also been a significant plus factor for Paul, ‘just living near the sea has been a joy he says’ ‘Markets such as heating, renewables and our Structural Insulated Panels are real growth sectors for us and we will continue to introduce new products to the island which enhance building efficiency and improve standards’
‘The Group has a huge amount of expertise and experience within it which any member company can call on. The important thing is that we all play to our strengths, work together and share skills and knowledge for the common good.’
Paul says that the local building industry has been through a tough time over the last few years but the NP Group has been preparing itself for the recovery:
‘As we have retained and built on our staff expertise during the lull, we will be in the perfect position to capitalize on the upturn when it comes.
I am proud to be taking on the challenge of leading this professional business with its long and successful history of serving Guernsey with construction materials.’
