1. The execution of all orders and contracts is subject to contingencies beyond our control and we cannot be held responsible for any delay, damage or loss whatsoever arising from war, Government requisitions of any kind, suspension of means of transport, loss of steamer, strikes, lock-outs, fire, floods, accident, failure of any third party to supply us or anything directly interfering with the raw materials, manufacture, supply, shipment, arrival or delivery of goods. All tenders and/or quotations are based upon present costs of production, transport charges and manufacturer’s prices. In the event of our being called upon to meet any advance in the price of raw materials, wages, transport, etc., we reserve the right to increase our prices.
2. Any query with regard to the material supplied should be raised within seven days from receipt of invoice.
3. In case of non-payment of any account when due, the Owner reserves the right to stop any further deliveries until all arrears are paid, or to cancel any contract as to all or any parts of future deliveries.
4. Where delivery is to be effected to job, it is understood that the site must be safe for full lorry loads of materials and of easy access and that every assistance must be given for prompt unloading.
5. No warranty, express or implied, is given as to the life or wear of the goods supplied, nor that they will be suitable for any particular purpose or for use under specific conditions, notwithstanding that such purpose or conditions may be made known to the Owner. No liability can be accepted for any consequential loss or damage whatsoever. In the case of other makers’ specialities supplied by the Owner, the Owner’s liability is limited to that accepted by the makers thereof.
6. The property in the materials shall not pass to the Buyer until the Buyer has paid to the Owner the whole price thereof, but all risk in such materials shall be borne by the Buyer from time of delivery, or from time of collection by the Buyer.
7. The Owner reserves the right to enter premises or sites owned by the Buyer, or under the Buyer’s control, or being worked on by the Buyer, to retake possession of any goods in respect of which payment or part-payment is outstanding.
8. Extended Credit Surcharges of not less than 2.5% per month will be charged on overdue balances.
9. If you would like to return your stock order item and it is within 28 days of purchase, please bring the Goods back to the relevant store together with your invoice. You must return the Goods to us (together with the original packaging) without undue delay, with all components, undamaged, and also any promotional items received (including free gifts) or discounted additional products. Depending on the item, you may be subject to a 10% restocking charge. If we agree to collect the Goods from you then we will charge a fee of £25 for the collection service.
No special order items will be accepted as a return except in special circumstances (notification of which must be given within 7 days of receiving the Goods) and will be subject to a return charge, collection charge (if relevant) and handling fee.
It is encouraged that all special orders are collected or delivered as soon as you are notified that they have arrived on site, as they are subject to the Manufacturer’s warranty and returns policy. We will hold specials on site for a maximum of 2 months after which delivery or collection must be arranged.
Door Returns Policy
Norman Piette hope that you will be fully satisfied with your door purchase, however, if you are not satisfied with your goods for any reason we are happy to accept returns in accordance with the policy below:
Please note that all doors must be collected or delivery arranged within 48 hours of notification of arrival in to Norman Piette.
We will only accept returns, with the exception of Special Order and Bespoke items, if they are sent back to us undamaged in original packaging, within 14 days starting from day of collection/delivery. Returned products are subject to inspection prior to issuing a credit.
Upon receiving your doors, please be sure to inspect for damage. Any product received damaged or any shortages or discrepancies should be noted and Norman Piette notified in writing (including images) within 48 hours of delivery/collection. Our team will review the photos and look to rectify the situation as quickly as possible.
Claims on any order or discrepancies must be made prior to HINGING, HANGING, or FINISHING.
In accordance with our supplier terms, we will be unable to process any claims for damages that are reported after 48 hours.
Stock doors returned as ‘no longer required’ after the 14 day period may not be accepted, and will be subject to a restocking charge if accepted.
Discontinued items or Special Orders will not be accepted as returns.
Ex-display/clearance stock is sold-as-seen and is non-returnable. There is no warranty or aftersales service available on Ex-display/clearance stock. As some items are for display purposes only and sold as seen, they do not come with standard fittings and will require the customer to purchase these items at an additional cost. Ex-display items, whilst always in good condition, might show some signs of wear and tear from use in our showrooms. These might include small marks, scratches, or other small blemishes. It is the buyer’s responsibility to remove these items from our showroom.
