I joined Norman Piette in 2018 at the age of 28 having been employed as a Heating Specialist in the Plumbing & Heating department. Due to the department growing and the situation of 2020, I was promoted to Plumbing & Heating Supervisor and have progressed to my current role as Plumbing & Heating Customer Service Manager. Every day is different, it keeps me on my toes and I thoroughly enjoy working with my team and the customers.
Since joining Norman Piette in 2020, after transitioning from a marketing agency, I’ve experienced a vibrant and dynamic work environment. Here, every hour presents a new challenge, reflecting the diverse nature of our industry where one can truly make a mark. What adds to the allure is our fantastic sports and social scheme, which offers a range of experiences, from kayaking adventures and gourmet cookery courses to beer tasting and lively karaoke nights! Moreover, the growth opportunities within the company are vast, with doors open across its many departments.
I joined Norman Piette in 2005 at the age of 22 having been employed to work in the Timber and Board department. Due to the many opportunities Norman Piette provides, I later moved to the transport team where I have been for the past 14 years. I enjoy the tasks and challenges my role provides as every day brings something new and I’m proud to be a member of a locally owned and run family business.
I joined Norman Piette in 2013 straight out of University having no idea what route I wanted to take in life and also having never set foot in a Builders’ Merchant! The position I took was Marketing Assistant and in the 9 years I have been with NP I have had 5 promotions which has led me to my current role of Sales and Marketing Director. There are many benefits to working here, such as a great sports and social calendar, health insurance, company car etc. but my main drive for working at NP is the people. Each day is fun, interesting, yet challenging as we adapt to an ever-evolving world where the way in which people purchase goods is constantly changing.
I joined Norman Piette in March 2022 on contract. In June that year I was offered the permanent role of Group Accountant. I like the role here as even in the office based roles no two days are the same. As Norman Piette is a locally run family business I like that at the core is the employees which helps to create a one team ethos in a relaxed but professional environment.
I Joined Norman Piette in 2010 at the age of 17, I started off working in the Timber and Boards department as a sales assistant, where I spent 10 years learning and developing my skills, whilst building great relationships with customers and colleagues. I then had a short stint in the Heaviside department as I was keen to learn more about other aspects of the business. After this I was offered the opportunity to become Supervisor in the Timber and Boards department, I enjoy every day working closely with my team and I’m always keen to bring in new ideas to evolve the department and deliver the best customer service.
I joined Norman Piette in 2012 where I worked within a few departments until I found the role that suited me best, Sales Assistant in the Heavyside team. The work was hands-on, great fun and I loved being outdoors. Over the next few years I was promoted to Supervisor and then in 2021 promoted again to the role of Heavyside Customer Service Manager. The best bit of my job is leading the team and I like to think I’m setting an example for people to hopefully strive towards. I think Norman Piette is a great company to work for and everyone here is like a family, we have a great social side and I have to say it’s definitely the best company I’ve ever worked for.
